    7 Ways to Move on from Your Last Relationship & Get Over it

    After any important relationship turns to ash, there is a moment of grief, but instead of getting bogged down in a self-pity party and not wanting to become a bitter lifelong member of the broken hearts club... deal with it. It might sound harsh, patronizing, or even emotionless to anyone going through the initial breakup stage, but to you, it's just a call to action to start the metamorphosis. Then we'll talk about trying to fall in love again.

    Move on from Your Last Relationship

    Move on from Last Relationship, Letting Go of a Relationship

    Here's how you can take this opportunity to become a phoenix and Move on from Your Last Relationship.

    7 Ways to Move on from Your Last Relationship
    * Focus on yourself
    * Preservation of appearance
    * Set your goals
    * Stay alive
    * Find a hobby
    * Rethink relationships
    * Love and intimacy in the internet age

    1. Focus on yourself

    2. Many of us feel that the first thing we should do after one relationship ends is to move on to another immediately. This is the worst possible. Chances are, after the breakup, you are still a mess on the train; not quite the state of mind recommended for those who are diving back into the dating pool. It has been said that “if you don’t love yourself, you cannot love anyone else,” so instead of looking for someone new right now, you need some time to focus on yourself.

      First, reassess who you are, what you are doing, and what you want to do with your life at the moment. A bad breakup (especially if you're taking sides) can seriously affect your self-esteem, so it's important to remember that you still have a life unrelated to your previous relationship.

      Some people will look to others for validation that they cannot give themselves, hence the need to always be in a relationship - all of which will also inevitably fail because they still won't feel comfortable with themselves. Be prepared to make yourself comfortable.

    3. Preservation of appearance

    4. Nothing seems to heal a freshly broken heart like makeup. Think of it as your new era and visualize yourself as you want to be. It is important that you look your best while trying to feel your best. Makeup can give your confidence the proverbial B12 shot (especially when you get a sultry look or two after leaving the salon).

    5. Set your goals

    6. Use this newfound energy to accelerate the achievement of your goals. Now you are without a partner and do not participate in the game of relationships until further notice. You can do whatever you want.

      Whether it's coaching, graduating from school, starting or advancing a career, or traveling the world, this independence is a step in your next direction, no matter the chance, choice, or potential consequences. Reaching your goals will take a lot of your time and energy, and you won't have time to focus on your old relationship.

    7. Stay alive

    8. Everyone wants to live well, be fit and eat right. Unfortunately, many people get depressed after a traumatic romantic breakup, and some may indulge in rather unpleasant lifestyles, such as drowning the sad remnants of their last relationship in a few pints of ice cream or lager. This may sound tempting, but don't fall into the dark side after breaking up.

      Instead, redirect any negative thoughts about your past relationship to stay healthy. If you are not healthy, you will not be able to achieve your goals. Lifestyle changes can help you learn more about yourself and discover new ideas, interests and even people, which is important if you plan to move on.

    9. Find a hobby

    10. If you're like many of us who have ever vowed love after a failed relationship, you probably also tend to think about relationships in hindsight. It will only drive you crazy. Find a hobby to keep yourself occupied so you can focus on something interesting, unusual, or new so that you don't get distracted from your past relationships.

      Which hobby to choose is up to you? (No, you are not limited to crocheting.) Through this experience with the phoenix, you should have a better understanding of who you are and what you do, and everyone has different touches. You might enjoy knitting fancy sweaters or swimming with sharks. You might want to learn calligraphy or learn how to swallow flaming swords. Who knows? (Technically, just you.)

    11. Rethink relationships

    12. Depending on your lifestyle and the situation at the moment, when you are ready (or think you are ready) to give up your past relationships, you should shift to a new way of thinking, especially if you have had a long-term relationship (LTR) or getting married and leave the dating scene for a while. You could either go the old school route or the online dating route. Whatever is more convenient for you.

      The culture of online dating has changed a lot since the days of AOL chatting. Just as Radiohead reminds us that “meeting people is easy,” we remember that meeting people with the possibility of intimacy is not.

    13. Love and intimacy in the internet age

    14. Smarter and more progressive women of the Internet age are finding new opportunities in online dating: through social dating sites, we can control who we meet from behind the veil of an online character (keep it secret, keep it hot), but this comes at the cost of persecution from side of the crowd of perverts trolling these sites.

      Eventually, you will meet someone when you leave. It takes time and effort to be yourself, and you will become even stronger if you do not crash due to broken previous relationships. Are you okay? Do your thing.

      Besides, it was their loss.

    Letting Go of a Relationship

    If you're letting go of a broken relationship, you know how difficult it is to say goodbye. As difficult as it is, letting go of the broken relationship is what you have to do. The good news is that just because something is difficult does not mean that it is impossible.

    In fact, letting go of a broken relationship can be easier than you think, if you remember that you can move on and will move on.

    When love gets stale, it's natural because you think it's almost impossible to let go of a broken relationship.

    However, you need to realize one very important thing. There is one key word in the process of letting go of a broken relationship. And if you can't tell yet, that keyword is "broken."

    Now let's look at the meaning of the word "broken." In some cases, this word can mean that two or more parts of a whole have been forcibly separated. A broken one can also refer to something that has been weakened, as in the case of a broken spirit. The final definition of broken is something that just doesn't work as it should, such as a broken TV.

    And forgive me if I sound like a hardwired record, but letting go of a broken relationship should be much easier if you accept the fact that your relationship falls into all the categories of that definition. Your relationship just didn't work out.

    So, while you are trying to get rid of your broken relationship, try to think about the things that are destroying your relationship. Was your ex unfaithful, bossy, or unloved? Did your ex make you feel inferior, helpless, or generally sad?

    Or was your ex so perfect that you didn't even think about breaking up? If your relationship was the same as most, the last question couldn't even be asked. Any relationship has its own problems, but it's easy to forget when you're in pain.

    With that said, I would like to encourage you to think about all the things that hurt you when your relationship was just breaking down. Think about all the terrible, cruel, or annoying things your ex has done.

    Let your anger guide you and it will only be a matter of time before your tears stop flowing. Anger may not be the most beneficial medicine, but it is by far the fastest. And when it comes to letting go of a broken relationship, you need the fastest acting cure you can find.
